Capital One and Uber announced a fantastic partnership one year ago.
Four Capital One cards — including three with no annual fees — offer 10% cashback on Uber and Uber Eats purchases. Plus, eligible cardholders can also receive monthly Uber One membership statement credits during the promotion.
Most good things don’t last forever, though: the Capital One-Uber benefits are set to expire — on November 14, 2024. That gives you a year to earn plenty of cashback on your Uber rides and Uber Eats purchases.
(Between the Uber One subscription benefits and 10% cashback on my Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card, I’ve netted over $240 in savings between Uber rides and Uber Eats orders.)

Which Cards are Eligible for a Free Uber One Membership?
These cards are eligible for a complimentary Uber One membership through November 14, 2024:
- Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Savor Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One Quicksilver Student Cash Rewards Credit Card
- Capital One SavorOne Student Cash Rewards Credit Card
Three cards are eligible for up to six months of Uber One membership credits through November 24, 2024. They are:
- Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card
- No annual fee
- Capital One QuicksilverOne Cash Rewards Credit Card
- No early spend bonus
- Capital One Quicksilver Secured Cash Rewards Credit Card
All you have to do is make your eligible Capital One card the default form of payment for membership. You’ll be billed the membership fee each month and receive an equal statement credit for that amount. (Currently valued at $9.99. The Uber One statement credit purchase earns only 1%.)

Pair With Amex’s Uber Cash Benefits
Two American Express® Membership Rewards® cards offer members monthly if-used Uber Cash deposits valid for Uber and Uber Eats purchases:
- Up to $15 for The Platinum Card® from American Express members (Up to $35 in December)
- Up to $10 for American Express® Gold Card members
- Enrollment is required and terms apply.
I hold both the Amex Platinum and Amex Gold. So once my $25 in Uber Cash is exhausted, I’ll charge the rest of the month’s Uber and Uber Eats cash balances to my SavorOne Cash Rewards card. (Enrollment is required. Terms apply. Uber Cash deposits are made monthly and expire if not used. To receive this benefit, you must have downloaded the latest version of the Uber App and your eligible American Express® Gold Card must be a method of payment in your Uber account. The Amex Benefit may only be used in the United States.)
Is It Worth Getting the Card for Just One Year?
First of all, I get some mileage out of my SavorOne Cash Rewards because of its 3% cashback at entertainment venues such as movie theatres, bowling alleys, amusement parks, and commercial sports promoters. ($200 NFL tickets don’t sting as much when you earn $6 cashback.)
Next, this is great for people who regularly — or even occasionally — use Uber or Uber One. Remember that four of the above cards have $0 annual fees. You’re basically finding money.
Finally, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Capital One and Uber extended the partnership past November 14, 2024. Chase and Lyft did something similar.
