Capital One is really stepping up its credit card game.
The “What’s In Your Wallet?” folks announced this morning that four of its cards will earn unlimited 10% cashback on Uber and Uber Eats purchases made through November 14, 2024.
On top of that, eligible card members may enroll for a complimentary Uber One membership.

I recently became a card_name member — and am delighted by this news!

Which Cards are Eligible for a Free Uber One Membership?
These cards are eligible for a complimentary Uber One membership through November 14, 2024:

Simply make your eligible Capital One card eligible the default form of payment for membership. You’ll be billed the membership fee each month — and then receive an equal statement credit for that amount. (Currently valued at $9.99.)
Uber One membership includes:
- Unlimited $0 delivery fee on eligible food, groceries and other Uber Eats orders
- Customers must place a $15 minimum order at participating restaurants to receive $0 delivery fee and a $30 minimum on other participating stores for $0 delivery fee.
- Up to 10% off eligible orders with Uber Eats
- Up to 5% off eligible rides with Uber
- Discount will not apply to shared rides or rides booked 30 minutes or more in advance.
- Member-only perks and promotions
This promotion is fantastic for people who regularly use Uber and Uber Eats.
Pair With Amex’s Uber Cash Benefits
Two American Express® Membership Rewards® cards offer members monthly if-used Uber Cash deposits valid for Uber and Uber Eats purchases:
- $15 for card_name members ($35 in December)
- $10 for card_name members
- Enrollment is required and terms apply.
I hold both card_name and card_name. So once my $25 in Uber Cash is exhausted, I’ll charge the rest of the month’s Uber and Uber Eats cash balances to my card_name.
Forward Thinking
What happens when November 14, 2024 rolls around? That’s when the grand Uber promotion ends.
I’ll deal with that then. Remember that Chase’s Ultimate Rewards® suite of cards announced a few years ago some increased earnings on Lyft spending that were set to expire in March 2022. Those were extended through March 2025.
So, if this Uber and Capital One promotion is successful, I won’t be at all surprised if it’s extended.

Final Approach
Four Capital One cards — including three with no annual fees — are offering 10% cashback on Uber and Uber Eats purchases through November 14, 2024. Plus, cardholders can receive a complimentary Uber One membership during the promotion, too.
This is a proverbial no-brainer.
I think it’s worth getting even a no-annual fee, eligible Capital One card — and taking advantage of the Uber benefits.

I searched my AMEX Platinum Card account and could not find any information about this Uber benefit anywhere.
The $15 Uber Cash deposit? You have to manually enroll.
Through Uber or AMEX?
Amex. Log in to your Amex account and go to the benefits section.
I reached out to AMEX and they said this does not apply if you have a Delta Skymiles Platinum. That is why I couldn’t find it. 🙂
@Ginger – The Delta Skymiles Platinum card is not the same product at the Amex Platinum card. Many do confuse the two.
