Are Delta.com and the Fly Delta app drunk?

I’ve heard from a number of Delta Air Lines SkyMiles Medallion elite status members whose vouchers for complimentary alcoholic drinks onboard Delta and Delta Connection flights never showed up in their accounts for the 2023 Medallion year. They report neither the Fly Delta app nor Delta’s website display the coupons that Delta elite status holds normally receive

My Delta account shows eight coupons that don’t expire until January 31, 2025. (Who are we kidding? Those won’t survive though summer.) I thought I’d receive just four. A couple of family members who are Platinum are SOL (sadly outta liquor).

My wife is a Silver Medallion (Silvers aren’t entitled to drink coupons — thanks for the reminder, vbscript2!) But here’s the weird thing about my wife’s profile. Her profile on Delta.com says she has two drink coupons available.

a glass of wine and a blue and red square

But she doesn’t. When I tap the “Reedeem,” all she gets are the two complimentary Sky Club guest passes that come with her Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card.

I’m assume this a Delta IT glitch — and hopefully not Delta being cheap.

So, I’m curious to hear from you. If you currently hold Delta Medallion status holder, please check either your Fly Delta app or Delta.com. Tap the “Vouchers” section in your account and see if you received your drink coupons for this year.

Then, come back here and head to. the below Comments section, Please tell us whether or not Delta gave you your Medallion drink tickets or passed you over. (And if you feel comfortable enough to share your status level, go for it.)

Silver doesn’t get them, do they? If they do, that’s relatively new (within the last 2 years.) As far as I know, only Gold and up are supposed to get them.

As PM, though, I currently have 8 in my account. Which means I’ll probably be giving away 8 of them sometime between now and Jan 2025.

Thanks for mentioning this Chris! I don’t see any drink vouchers in my #KeepDescending app. ‘Diamonds in the back!’

I only show two SkyClub vouchers.

Love the ‘Delta difference’. Nice consistently poor treatment for a DM in all the full years of the level’s existence and ~2.25MM. Will likely follow Rene away from DL as I exhaust my devaluing SkyPesos.

Delta IT is awful and they don’t care! I have six ecredits which don’t show in my wallet on the app or website but are visible to Delta. No drink vouchers either … get responses that IT is ‘away’ of the problem lol

Guess being aware and actually fixing something are two different things

What was the last iOS app update – an improved My Trips section … which had no change from the previous.

The onboard experience is great but IT is failing Delta

    Hi. Platinum here.
I show 4 drink vouchers, good until 1-31-25, but only 2 Sky Passes, set to expire 8-6-23.
The app is definitely messed up, though. It keeps signing me out (although for the past 3 or more years it remembered me and kept me signed in), and it often cannot show my Sky Medallion status or my trips in “My Trips” even once I AM signed in (I’m forced to go to Delta.com instead. Same for flight status.

Yesterday I was flying rt JFK to DCA to LGA. Both flights were delayed, but I only received one late notification for each flight. As the planes were more delayed, I received no notice. I had to go to the gate agent desk to find out each new status.

Even today, the notices in my email and phone still show the earlier delays for each flight, but were never brought up to date.

I CAN say that every live Delta person I spoke to, both in person and on the phone, were extremely helpful, cordial, and warm. Aside from the stupid tech issues, the customer service was outstanding!

Yes, in February I happen to be in the Main Cabin and in need of an adult beverage. When I pulled up the app to grab a drink coupon, it was then that I noticed they were missing. I actually messaged Delta right then and there while in the air and informed the Delta representative of the situation. She looked into it and acknowledged that that was weird. She then said she made the request to have them applied, but that I should I allow a few days for them to arrive. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to help me on that flight. A week later they still weren’t showing on my account, so I messaged them again. I finally now have my drink coupons.

Put me on hold x 15 min–to come back and told me they had expired b/c I didn’t use them in a year. I told her I understood but where were my New ones. She then told me I had to chose them as a benefit. I told her she was wrong and asked for someone in Delta Customer Service. Back on hold. Came back and told me I’d receive 4 when I reached 1 Million miles (which i did a few years ago)–I asked to speak to someone else and told her I wasn’t talking about Million Miler, I was talking about Diamond. Back on hold–30 minutes later–She said she put 4 in my account. She said that was the right amount. think Delta needs to do a little training!!

DM + MM and ZERO vouchers. I was on the plane and just noticed this when the flight attendant was a few rows away. He was able to find them on his handheld device even though I could not see any. I messaged Delta customer care – apparently they won’t deposit them until 2 weeks after you select one choice benefit. I had waited to select mine.
I’m going crazy with this decline in service quality and communication from Delta in just the past 6 months. It’s just one thing after the other. I’m on the phone for hours with them every couple weeks it seems! It’s never been this bad in the 15+ years I’ve had flying with them.

Diamond and Million Miler, all gone and no new ones. Inquired with an agent in the Sky Club in MSP and got a very uncharacteristic short and curt reply, “You must have used them.” Informed her I hadn’t used any, and had never received the new ones for 2023 Diamond status, and was told she couldn’t help me with that. First time I needed one in over a year was today, and don’t have one…guess I’ll just have to nap this leg.
