There’s finally a confirmed opening date for the Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and a little bit of Sky Club news for folks in Charlotte (CLT).
LAX Delta One Lounge: Opens October 10
Delta confirmed to us yesterday that, as flagged by Gary Leff at View from the Wing, the long-awaited Delta One Lounge at LAX will open on Thursday, October 10.
I assume the lounge will have the same access policy as its New York-Kennedy (JFK) counterpart:
- Same-day departing or arriving Delta One ticketed passengers
- Delta 360o members departing or arriving on a same-day ticket in Delta First Class
- Delta 360s flying Delta One or First Class may bring their immediate family (spouse/domestic partner and children under the age of 21), or up to two (2) companion guests, for an entry fee of $100 per person.
- Same-day departing or connecting flights operated by the following Delta partners in their respective first and business class cabins specified below:
- Air France La Premiere and Business Class (Long-Haul)
- LATAM Premium Business Class
- KLM Business Class
- Korean Air First Class and Prestige Class
- Virgin Atlantic Upper Class
There’s a dedicated Delta One check-in area on the airport’s lower level. Passengers can take a private elevator upstairs to the Delta One Lounge. I don’t yet know how other Delta One passengers (those using the standard check-in counter or connecting from other airports, etc.) will access the Delta One Lounge. Maybe through the Sky Club? We’ll try to find out.
This Delta One Lounge will be about a quarter of the size of the JFK location. (Heck, that might not even be enough room for dogs to eat off the table!)
That pretty much concludes the massive (and very impressive) Delta SkyWay overhaul at LAX that started way back in May 2017. Since then, Delta demolished a horrible Terminal 3 and built the wonderful T3 with more gates and an awesome new Sky Club. The airline also built a walkway between T3 and the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT).
Charlotte Sky Club: Opening in December
A Reddit post apparently shows where Charlotte’s first Sky Club will be located — and that it will open sometime in December 2024.
Final Approach
LAX’s Delta One Lounge opens on Thursday, October 10. Charlotte gets its first-ever Sky Club sometime in December.

I am not – nor do I expect to be invited – Delta 360. But, honestly $100.00 for a 360 guest? Seems kinda steep.
