We wrote last week that there will again be two separate events billing themselves as the “Chicago Seminars.”
One event takes place September 20-22 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare Chicago. That went on sale last week.
The other — the Chicago Seminars Heritage Edition — takes place October 25-27 at the Holiday Inn Chicago-Elk Grove, the Chicago Seminars’ longtime home. It also includes an online component.
Tickets for the three-day in-person event are $165. Per the Eventbrite page, That includes:
- Admittance to all events, which begin Friday evening and run most of the day Saturday and Sunday.
- Lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
- Coffee/snack breaks.
- A complimentary drink at Happy Hour on Saturday night
- Replay access to the 2024 Variety Show.
- Help offset travel costs for our presenters, whose airfare, hotel, registration, and incidental expenses will be covered. Speakers, Presenters, and Event Staff are all volunteers.
- Fees for online registration.
- Other costs, such as name badges, supplies, etc.
The online-only “Variety Show” on Friday morning and afternoon, October 25, is $14. (Last year, I did an online session called “Credit Card Commissions, Clickbait, and Other Burning Topics: a Mean Tweets and Vile Comments Special!” I make no promises, but I may do something similar again and update it with more interesting information I learned this year and another collection of delicious personal attacks!)
