Eye of the Flyer’s very own René de Lambert (co-founder of FrequentFloaters.com along with yours truly) recently joined The Morning X with Barnes & Leslie show to talk about the Delta SkyMiles 2025 debacle.

Listen to it below. (Or if you have difficulty connecting, here’s a direct link.)

This follows a two-part interview Barnes and Leslie had with Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian before Delta announced its crazy changes to earning Medallion status for 2025 and how Sky Club access will be different.

Enjoy!

Two mistakes by the hosts. $35,000 MQD includes DL Amex credit card spend. It doesn’t all have to be on DL tickets. Prior to the change it was either $20k MQD or $250k spend. No combination allowed. So $19k MQD plus $240k Amex spend was PM not DM. And previous DM MQD was $15k then $20k. It was never $17,500 as erroneously stated.

@Frankie – It is hard to cover all the tiny bits in a short radio spot. Also for most they would never spend 1/4m on Delta credit cards thus the focus on ticket spend works for most listeners.
