A new credit card just found a home in my wallet. (Heartwarming, isn’t it?) Here’s what it is — and why.
U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Business Card
The latest addition to my credit card “family” is the no-annual-fee U.S. Bank Business Triple Cash Rewards World Elite Mastercard®.
Why Did I Get the Triple Cash Card?
Four features caught my eye and inspired me to apply for the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Card.
First is an easy one: no annual fee.
Next is the $100 annual statement credit for software subscription expenses. I pay $9.99 each month for my Adobe Photoshop subscription. Assuming that subscription codes as an eligible merchant, this little no-annual-fee card will help me recoup a hundred bucks in about a year’s time. All I have to do is charge my software subscription to the U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Card each month. Plus, I’ll earn 1% cashback on top of that. Sure, I’ll happily accept $101.20 in free money just for charging a software subscription to the card each year!
Then come a pair of 3% cashback categories: gas stations and restaurants. I use my car for business purposes, so 3% cashback on gas will be nice. Especially these days.
I also occasionally pick up the tab when dining or having drinks with clients or colleagues. I could use a personal card like the American Express® Gold Card (4X Membership Rewards points at restaurants) or Chase Sapphire Reserve®® (3X on dining). But it’s “cleaner” and easier to use a business credit card and bank account for actual business purchases.
(For what it’s worth there are three other 3% cashback categories: EV charging stations, office supply stores, and cell phone service providers. Those don’t really move the needle for me when it comes to this card. I don’t have an electric vehicle, so EV stations aren’t a concern. And my Ink Business Cash® Credit Card gets me better earnings at office supply stores and cell phone service providers.)
Finally, the welcome offer is decent: earn $500 cashback after spending $4,500 in purchases within 150 days of becoming a cardmember. That’s about $900 a month for five (5) months. I’m confident I can make that happen. This is a limited-time offer, so I wanted I jump on it ASAP.
There’s the potential to earn back plenty of money during the first year of card membership!
Other Card Features
The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Card earns 5% cashback on prepaid hotel bookings and car rentals made directly through U.S. Bank’s Travel Rewards Center. Hotel and rental car companies generally don’t honor elite status benefits when using an online travel agency (OTA); I doubt I’ll use the card for those purchases.
The card does charge foreign transaction fees (3% of each foreign purchase transaction in U.S. Dollars), so I won’t be using it with any merchants outside of the United States.
Final Approach
The U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Card is the newest card to join my credit card arsenal. It will potentially save my business a few hundred dollars each year — which isn’t bad for a no-annual-fee card.

Could you confirm if the adobe photoshop did end up counting for the credit? Thanks
I’ll know in May after the card membership year has elapsed.
Oh man, that’s rought waiting the whole year to find out if what you charge counted. Hoping it works for you.
Ha! I’m closer now than I was when I wrote the post 🙂
