This is one of those “Good News – Bad News” situations.

Delta SkyMiles members in the New York City area (or those who can get there) might be interested in this Newark (EWR) to Anchorage (ANC) mileage run that hauls in 12,067 MQM and $318 MQD for $292.19 (thanks to the Status Accelerator expiring in a few weeks). That comes out to just under 2.5 CPMQM — which is great return on your investment.

It can be knocked down during a Friday-Saturday trip. And the price is great. That’s the good(ish) news.

The bad news?

It’s a Main Cabin run. And there’s plenty of “airport appreciation” time.

Newark to Anchorage Delta mileage run

I’m one of those people who’s very productive when traveling. Airplanes and airport lounges are great work environments for me. If you’re the same, then this run may be worth it. But I won’t lie: my lower back hurts just thinking about this coach trip.

However, if you need MQM and are game for this mileage run, the price is fantastic and you’ll probably have a decent time. And if you hold one of these American Express cards, you can spend your layovers at Delta Sky Clubs.

Here’s a Google Flights link to get you started.

Thanks for finding this deal. I am finishing a mileage run to ANC from southwest Florida earning 13,500 MQMs for $265 total cost. Itineraries were as follow:
    Dec 3rd at 6 am depart RSW-ATL-SEA-ANC
Landed in ANC at 6:30 pm local time, I had 6 hours in ANC, I ubered to downtown, walked around & froze my ass in -4F weather and of course it was snowing. I ate a nice dinner at Glacier Brewery downtown Anchorage, then walked to a local joint packed with locals. Met interesting people there, everywhere I went people were super nice and were shocked when I told them I just got here from Florida 80 degree weather. They got more shocked when I said by the way I am heading back to Florida in 4 hours, I had a few shots of Whiskey then ubered back to the airport at 11:30 pm.
On the way back the flight departed 12:55 am from ANC-SLC-DTW-RSW with 6 hours to kill in SLC, I took the rail for $2.50 to Downtown SLC visited the museums the Mormon temples and so on I met interesting people there as well.
I visited all the Sky Clubs and ate most meals there so I didn’t have to spend any money on food except for downtown Anchorage! The nicest delta sky club is in SLC and by far SLC airport is the best airport in the USA.
it is not an easy trip to take on with Full two days of travel and 6 long flights. Luckily I was upgraded a few times so it was well worth it. There is another run available Dec 10th-11th if anyone interested to try. Use Google flight and use your nearest airport to you.
