Using Lyft just became a little more rewarding. In addition to earning credit card points and travel program miles, you can now score cashback through DOSH!

Lyft and DOSH

Lyft is now a DOSH partner — and awards 2% cashback on eligible rides. (Not a DOSH member yet? Sign up now for free and use promo code CHRISTC878 to see if you’re eligible for a special offer.)

Make sure to link the DOSH app to your credit cards. Then initiate your purchase through the DOSH app and use one of your registered credit cards. There are a couple of maximums to keep in mind:

  • $20 cashback per day on your Lyft transactions
  • $5 cashback maximum per Lyft transaction

Those shouldn’t be a problem — unless you’re taking four $250 Lyft rides during a single day.

Uber, FWIW, gives DOSH users 50 cents on each eligible ride.

Stack with Other Bonuses!

It appears you can now triple-stack your Lyft earnings!

First, there’s the DOSH cashback.

Next, you can earn free Delta SkyMiles or Hilton Honors points by linking your Lyft account.

  • Link Lyft and Delta SkyMiles here
  • Link Lyft and Hilton Honor here

Finally, there are credit card rewards you can earn for each dollar spent on your Lyft purchases. Remember that Chase is running a promotion with Lyft awarding 5X-10X total points on Lyft purchases made through March 2022.

Barring that Lyft purchases generally code as “travel.” So you’re in luck if that’s one of your cards’ bonus categories.

Final Approach

I love earning cashback! Even if you occasionally use Lyft, this is a fine way to add a little cash in your pocket.

This would be great if Lyft was the service it used to be. Drivers cancelling, drivers few and far between, prices way up. Same with Uber.

I am back to using taxis when I need to schedule a trip to the airport; last few trips I’ve almost had to drive myself at the last moment, and that was after starting my search at a time that would have gotten me to the gate 1:30 before boarding. Average experience with both Uber and Lyft is cancel 20 min after accepting. Start searching an hour earlier than normal or forget it. Rider rating 4.95+ on both

    Was great while it lasted.
