Will there be spoonfuls of sugar to help the COVID vaccine go down?
You have to wonder, seeing as how Disneyland Resort will become a mega-super-ultra-yuuuge COVID vaccination site later this week. (Plus, I bet they have a bunch of unused sugar on hand that’d be perfect for something gimmicky 😉 ).
As The Atlantic‘s Olga Khazan writes:
Everyone’s worst pandemic nightmare is happening in Los Angeles. Intensive-care units are overflowing with patients gasping for breath, and there might not be enough ventilators to go around. If a patient has virtually no chance of survival, ambulances have been told not to bother transporting them to a hospital at all. People experiencing a heart attack or kidney stones can’t count on a bed being available for them.
With the exception of curbside pick-up or other non-contact transactions, we’re staying home. Southern California is a fairly scary place right now. (Although the weather is going to be nice this weekend, so at least we have that going for us.)

Some more stories caught my eye and I thought you, too, may enjoy them.
The TSA Dog Calendar!
The TSA published a 2021 calendar featuring some of its amazing dogs based around the country. Here’s my favorite protective pooch (well, at least in the TSA calendar), Rea aka October.
The calendar is free to download — but you must supply your own printing supplies and hardware.

We need to know more about the people that are ending up in such a state, for example do they all have something in common, also why this is happening in the state with the strictest restrictions (and which have been that way for a while) and why so many people that catch COVID in so many other places (and who knows, maybe in LA too) are getting over it without major discomfort. Also why is it that in states that don’t have lockdown, the hospitals are not in this situation.
Also it would be nice if they would open the rides for people while they are waiting.
Sad that Calif Govevor will no let Disney open like in Orlando FLorida!!! and that the Place has been in lockdown forever..cannot even eat anywhere OUTSIDE only take-out or CLOSED RESTAURANTS!! You have to look at the STATS to see what population is affected the most and deal with tht segment vs locking everyone down for a year!!! The worst is yet to come!
You are right. Florida, the state that Californians laughed at, is in much better shape, and they have a life there.
