It’s estimated to earn 12,054 MQM & $3,214 MQD when you book the Aeromexico itinerary and credit the run to your Delta SkyMiles account. It’s certainly not as amazing as the deal we saw last summer — but still a pretty darn good fare for winter.
You can do a quick turn or stay a couple of days. Plus, many weekend dates are available — which works great for those with Monday-Friday jobs.
The trip is bookable on Aeromexico.com. If you can’t find seats on Aeromexico’s site, however, begin your search at JustFly, which earns $16 through Top Cashback.

There are, of course, Y-UP fares. There have been, in the past, some issues with getting correct credit with Y-UPs from AeroMexico. All data points suggest this problem has been fixed — but be sure to save all your boarding passes and follow these steps to make sure you get the correct credit.

I did this exact run earlier this month. MQM credited were 12,040, MQD were 3,210, and redeemable SkyMiles were 8,026 base plus a Diamond bonus of 17,658.
I was going to comment that by my math, you would get closer to 3210 MQD, but it looks like Matt beat me to it with actual data. 🙂 I do think the RDM for that fare class of 8026 + 100% bonus (according to the Delta website) for that fare class, so you would get 16052 before medallion bonus. I assume that the medallion bonus is calculated based on the base miles and not the fare class bonus, so the total for a Diamond would be 25684, which is what Matt’s seemed to come out to.
