Conveniently located right next door to the KLM Crown Lounge Amsterdam #25 you have the ASPIRE lounge #26 Amsterdam AMS Priority Pass lounge. Both are upstairs just above passport control if you are looking for them.

my two non-delta amex platinum cards

I will say right off the bat if you have access to the KLM lounge I would go there. As a Skyteam flyer you have access to KLM personnel if you have issues plus the food and drinks are far superior to the ASPIRE lounge. However, if you are an arriving passenger and not connecting to another Skyteam flight you will often be barred entrance to the KLM lounge (even as a Skyclub member) so this is a good alternative if you happen to have either the non-Delta The Platinum Card® from American Express <—LINK or the non-Delta The Business Platinum Card® from American Express OPEN <—LINK as well. With either one you can get individual Priority Pass membership and get in – even on arrivals.

We happened to arrive very late and the lounge was only going to be open for less than an hour but we were mostly just popping in to check the lounge out and to test the wine choices and see what snacks they had.

The snack area, just past the entrance to the right, is self-serve. Again, as you peek at the photos do keep in mind they were soon closing but even so you should get an idea of what is available.

You can mix your own drinks or try a few different types of red or white wines. The basic snack and munchies are just that. I was not overly impressed with any of the items I sampled.

The main seating area was fine and chairs are comfortable with desk-ish areas for those who want to work on their laptops etc.

The other side of the lounge was closed off due to the late hour of the day. There are no showers in this lounge so if you need one you had better, again, have KLM club access. The bathrooms were neat and clean.

Overall I was not “inspired” by the ASPIRE lounge AMS. I would call it similar to a Skyclub in features and choices and if it is your only choice for club access as an arriving passenger then it is well worth the visit.

I had, as an SPG Platinum, Sheraton club access and wished I had departed a bit sooner for that club over this airport one as the offerings there were much nicer as well as the suite upgrade waiting for me but more on that next! – Rene
