I can not believe it is fall (well almost). I have my grape order in with my local vineyard (we make our own wine each year) and I am only weeks away from my fall golf trip as well as looking forward to the start of the college football season. But first the week that was:
Rakuten has some simply amazing deals going today. The Dell one can reward you with 15X but for those who like creative spending Lowe’s has 4% cash back today (hint look for the 500s – they are hard to find)!
It goes without saying (but I just did) that criminals are not very smart. But it takes a whole new level of stupidity to commit crimes on a cruise ship when you have no where to run. These 4 are that kind of special stupid!
Delta wants those in Washington State to love the airline. So much so they have a promotion that you must register for that can get you “freeeeeeeeee” Delta SkyPennies. Free is free so….
Chris stayed at “The Palazzo” in Las Vegas recently and not only got a great deal but also his wife says it resulted in one of the best nights sleep ever (they did get a mega upgrade btw). Take a look.
Back to Delta once more. You may or may not remember that the airline was for weeks on end teasing about some kind of big announcement. As someone who has taken body blow after body blow hits from the Skymiles and Medallion program I was in fear. The big news got postponed because of the Delta IT meltdown of 2024. So just what was the news? Here it is.
Back to Vegas. The historic Tropicana hotel is going bye bye and they even have a set date. One thing is sure about Vegas – it is always changing and some say for the better. Agree?
We are nearing the end of 2024 (yeah crazy I know). If you are still chasing Delta status you may want to book a mileage run now or at least be sure to review your year end checklist before it is too late to do so.
Speaking of 2025 (see what I did there?) it is time to look at spring break week(s). If you plan ahead now you can save a ton of cash with some of these limited time offers.
Do you like staying in luxury when you travel? I mean who doesn’t right? Chris this week breaks down the great “Fine Hotels and Resorts” benefits.
The saddest news this week was the tragic loss of life in Atlanta when two individuals working on a Delta jet were killed and a third injured. My thoughts are with their families during this indescribable time.
