I hope you’re having a great weekend!
My family spent five hours waiting in 95-degree heat on Saturday to get inside the “Van Nuys Mega Passport Office” (yes, that’s what it’s called) — where we waited some more just to get our daughter her passport. (No appointments were available for months, so we finally bit the bullet.)
After that successful mission, we raced home. My wife and daughter took my mother-in-law to meet some friends for a girls night dinner. My best friend brought me to his company’s Night at Dodger Stadium, where we saw the Cincinnati Reds’ outstanding young player Elly De La Cruz. (He is a speedy man.)
What a wait to wrap up a busy week on the blog!
We discussed a bunch of exciting topics. A Delta Air Lines flight from Milan, Italy, to New York-Kennedy sustained significant damage and diverted to Rome on Monday after it was pelted with hail shortly after takeoff. While we’re discussing Europe, travelers will need authorizations to visit the EU starting next year.
Taylor Swift and her mom used an interesting ploy to fend people away from the middle seat when they flew Southwest.
Did you see these sneaky Sky Priority bag tags?
One of the blog’s most popular posts was this updated piece about which Delta-related charges counted toward my Platinum Cards’ $200 airline incidental credit.
Speaking of Delta and Amex, check your cards for these new Delta Amex Offers.
One reader’s parent benefited from this: a promotion for lifetime Silver Medallion status!
A crop dusting plane darn near smacked into a moving semi truck. Watch the video!
Have a great rest of your Sunday! And, as always, thank you so much for reading the blog, commenting, and sharing!
