Delta Air Lines is operating a pretty busy schedule out of LAX — but with a minimal number of gates.

Fun video adventure LAX..The bus situation and the NO Airside connection to all gates has gone on forever!! We traveled International with family a while back and there was no bus to get from Bradley to connecting terminal had to go outside with babies, strollers and luggage to recheck from Immigration and customs… that was really crazy.
FInally a fix which should have started 10 years ago… AMazing Calif is so behind in all of this…Look at SFO the same thing but do not usually need a bus just your legs and another TSA check if you are changing terminals to get to another airline. How long is all of this going to take to finish -LAX??
Same experience I had connecting in AMS. Except in AMS they don’t (or at least didn’t, haven’t been since my last trip with Rene) have the ramp down, they had stairs!
Nothing special – bus boarding is quite normal in manny regions of the world. Honestly, at some Airports I prefer bus boarding/debording. The process is quite faster – if good organized.
Got to experience 24B first hand yesterday ! What a zoo there were at least 6 planes going out at the same time including 4 via bus. People kept going up in line for the wrong flights causing Gate Agents to not be very happy with them. Stressful to all esp since they were all delayed as they filled one bus to one plane at a time? In the old days they could do 2-3 busses to different planes. We got a nice surprise as we got to the ramp as Heather had a sign with our names and we were whisked off in the PORSCHE what a surprise!! Made it all better!

This is not a unique solution at LAX just for Delta. Same thing on the otherside at Terminal 5 with AA a couple of years ago.

All said and done: mid-2023. But the new, central headhouse is supposed to open in Q1 2022.
Who knew you had a voice for radio?!
I’ve also been told I have a face made for radio. 🙂 (Actually, I hosted a radio show for about a year.)

Just watched your video on Gate 24B. Very informative for me as I will be taking a flight from LAX to SFO and I am sure I will see 24B.
Thanks! I’m threatening to do more videos. 🙂
