Here’s some news for my fellow Los Angeles-area Delta Air Lines flyers.
Delta has moved terminals at Hollywood Burbank Airport in the San Fernando Valley. Effective today, the airline is now located in Terminal A. (For reference: Terminal A is where Southwest, JetBlue, and American depart and arrive.)
DL used to be in Terminal B. (If you’re not familiar with BUR, this relocation equates to a short walk 🙂 ).
As someone who flies BUR several times a year, I really like this change. Terminal B is rather cramped and lacks natural light.

I much prefer Terminal A. The walkway is far more spacious. There are more concession options and tons more natural light.

The TSA experience is much better in Terminal A. There are more lanes than its B counterpart. And Terminal B often implements — at least, in my experience — “PreCheck Lite.” That’s never been a problem over when I’ve flown out of A.

As part of the terminal move, Spirit is now based in Terminal B.
More Airlines in Burbank?
Small, quaint Burbank is growing by leaps and bounds. Avelo debuted in BUR about three months ago. And several other budget carriers plan to operate from the former Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena/Bob Hope airport.
Final Approach
Delta Air Lines moved terminals at Hollywood Burbank Airport. You’ll now find it inside Terminal A — which is much larger than its former digs in Terminal B. There are more concessions, restrooms, and seating. And much better ambiance as a whole. I love this move. Great work, BUR and DL!
