Disclaimer: This flight was at the very end of December 2019 as part of my, and my “BRU boys”, Delta elite mileage run to keep my Diamond status with Delta for 2020.
With that, on to the review:
There is no SkyTeam partner lounge at Brussels/BRU airport. So Delta, along with a host of other airlines, uses the British Airways lounge for business class passengers up one flight of stairs or an elevator (FYI: there is a Priority Pass lounge nearby if you are in coach and have the access from any number of high end travel cards).
Check-in with our Delta business class boarding passes was painless and quick. The lounge is a large rectangle with the entrance about in the middle. With that orientation in mind let’s step left.
We were at the lounge rather early and very few passengers had arrived. But the adult beverages were well stocked and ready to enjoy.
I had a small mimosa because, well, I had to try something in the lounge for the review.
Comfy chairs, division from other passengers and space. I like this club so far. On to the other side from entrance.
This side is where you find the foodservice. Limited, but enough if you did not have time for breakfast before departing your hotel.
Everything looked good but after my excellent breakfast just hours before at the Crown Plaza BRU I chose to pass on sampling the offerings.
There are computer work stations at both ends of the club (printer – that was off-line during our visit – only at this end) as well as a well-stocked magazine rack just past the entrance.
Overall a nice, clean, spacious lounge with everything you expect in a business class club. Even the wifi was fast (granted the club was nearly empty but those were my results).
I look forward to the day when we can put 2020 behind us as the non-travel year and get back to the way things used to be, that is, the glory days of travel of 2019! – René
