Greetings from Chicagoland — where the weather is decidedly crisper than my home area of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley! I’m loving the fall weather and food here in the Windy City.
Chicago Seminars – Come Say Hi!
I’m at the Chicago Seminars this weekend and would love to meet you. If I’m not in a session, you’ll likely find me at Shelby Campbell’s or the hotel lobby. (This is what I look like on a good day. Scary, I know.)
A Quick Recap
Less than two weeks remain for the big Delta Amex welcome up bonuses. We’re discussing some of the cards’ benefits and this week tackled how you can save money on checked bags with (nearly) all of the Delta Amex cards. Plus, Sky Club access is changing for the Gold, Platinum, and Reserve cards next year.
Right after our post about the Delta Amex cards’ Main Cabin 1 boarding perk, Delta introduced SkyMiles Select. Some Medallions are — understandably — not thrilled with the program because it opens up Main Cabin 1 boarding even more than before.
On the topic of status, has an IT bug cost you any Delta first class upgrades? And is it worth the time, money, and energy for leisure travelers to pursue status?
Speaking of upgrades, one of our readers enjoyed a flight this week during which everyone was upgraded to first class!
Finally, if you haven’t tried the Uber Eats targeted offer yet, see if it works with your account. You might save 20% on your next five orders this month.
