One of the credit cards that both my wife and I personally hold is the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card — and it’s running a strong welcome offer right now.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card
The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card is currently offering new cardmembers five (5) Free Night Awards worth up to 50,000 points each after you spend $3,000 on eligible purchases within three (3) months of being approved for card membership. Each night is valued at up to 50,000 points, making this promotion worth up to 250,000 points! (Learn more and apply here.)

I’ve held the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card for several years — and so has my wife. We both carry it primarily for the annual Free Night Award. Starting in your second year of membership, you receive a Free Night valid at properties priced at up to 35,000 points. And if you find a night priced at up to 50,000 points, you can top up the difference with up to 15,000 of your own Bonvoy points. At $95 a year, that anniversary night alone tends to cover the fee.
The card earns 3X Bonvoy points per dollar spent on gas stations, grocery stores, and dining — up to the first $6,000 spent in combined purchases each year. Nothing spectacular, but better than the 2X all other non-bonused purchases earn.
The card also features:
- Up to 17X per dollar spent at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels
- 2X on all other eligible purchases
- Free anniversary night (starting year two) redeemable at properties valued at 35,000 points or under
- 15 Elite Night Credits every calendar year
- Complimentary Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status
- $95 annual fee
$100 Airline Credit — 2026 Exclusive
There’s a 2026-only benefit available to both new and existing cardholders: up to $100 in statement credits for eligible direct airline purchases, split into two $50 semi-annual credits.
Earn the first $50 after spending $250 directly with airlines between January 1 and June 30. Earn the second $50 after spending another $250 between July 1 and December 31. The credit expires December 31, 2026.
Existing cardmembers (as of January 7, 2026) need to activate — you can do that here or call the number on the back of your card. New cardmembers who apply between January 8 and October 1, 2026 are automatically enrolled upon card activation — no separate activation needed.
No Annual Fee Option: Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Card
If the $95 annual fee isn’t for you but you still want to earn Bonvoy points, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold® Card is worth a look. (Learn here how to apply.)
The card earns 3X Bonvoy points per dollar on gas stations, grocery stores, and dining — up to the first $6,000 in combined purchases each year — and features:
- Up to 14X per dollar spent at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels
- 2X at grocery stores, rideshare, select food delivery, streaming, and internet/cable/phone
- 1X on all other purchases
- $0 annual fee
No annual Free Night Award and no complimentary Elite Status with the Bold — that’s the trade-off for the no-fee structure.
Happy earning and staying!

I am curious what the typical value of a Bonvoy point is. I estimate for Hilton it is 0.3 cents. For Delta 1 cent (or 1.15 if using Reserve card.
0.7-0.8 cents seems to be the consensus.
Is there a time frame that the 5 nights need to be used by?
Within a year.
