I recently wrote about my first experience entering Delta Sky Clubs since the new “Visits” policy started earlier this year. But what if you bring a guest with you? Can they still access the lounges for 24 hours, too? And how does that work?

Bringing a Guest to Delta Sky Clubs
Eligible American Express Card members can access Delta Sky Clubs and bring guests when traveling on a Delta-marketed, Delta-operated flight or a Delta partner airline flight that is not marketed or operated by Delta. Cardholders are granted a certain number of “VIsits,” which are unlimited entries to the Sky Club network during a 24-hour period starting with their first lounge entrance. (Basic Economy passengers are not eligible to visit Sky Clubs.)
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card members receive up to 15 complimentary Visits between February 1 of a given year and January 31 of the following year. (Additional Visits may be purchased for $50 each if a cardholder exhausts all 15 Visits. Rates and Fees for the Delta Reserve. Rates and Fees for the Delta Business Reserve.)
- The Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express members receive up to 10 complimentary Visits between February 1 of a given year and January 31 of the following year. (Similar to the Reserve cards, additional Visits may be purchased for $50 each if a cardholder exhausts all 15 Visits. Rates and Fees for the Amex Platinum. Rates and Fees for the Amex Business Platinum.)
Cardholders can bring up to two guests for $50 each. The primary card member must accompany the guests. (Lounge visits should count toward the Amex Platinum and Business Amex Platinum annual $200 airline incidental credit perk, provided that Delta is your selected airline.)
However, Delta Reserve Amex and Delta Business Reserve Amex holders receive four complimentary guest passes to Sky Clubs each card member year.
During a family vacation last month, my wife and I brought our favorite lounge lizard (our seven-year-old daughter) with us to the LAX T3 Sky Club.
I entered using my Delta Business Amex Reserve and also redeemed a guest pass for my kiddo.

After selecting the “Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business Card” and tapping “Submit,” I was brought to this screen:

I selected “Guest Pass / 1 per guest.”
The kiosk printed a paper receipt. HOLD ON TO THIS RECEIPT.

Then, I received confirmation that we were good to go!

Upon landing in Atlanta, we visited the “E” Sky Club. I presented my Reserve Business Amex and the guest pass to a Sky Club rep. She admitted us right away and we headed inside.
Final Approach
Bringing guests into Delta Sky Clubs for multiple Visits during a 24-hour period is a relatively easy, straightforward process (which is darkly surprising, considering Delta IT’s track record).
Remember to keep your guest’s paper receipt throughout your travel day!

Thanks Chris! I’ve used a guest pass recently for my wife (trying to optimize her annual cap by using my visitor passes when we’re traveling together) but it was for a single visit. I wondered how a multi-visit day would work. Now I know!
Make sure that you tell them your guest already has a pass or show your receipt (if they give you one – it may be by e-mail) when you go into the second club with your guest. Otherwise you will find another pass is gone although (as happened to me) I was able to get it returned.
Chris, thanks for the tip to keep proof that you redeemed a Sky Club guest pass to prevent Delta from taking additional guest passes during the 24-hour guest window.
Of course. Keep it somewhere you won’t lose it. For example, I hand it off to my wife because she’s far more organized than me 🙂 . Otherwise, I’d stick it with my boarding passes (when traveling with my kiddo) or just make sure my guest doesn’t lose it.
I had a Delta Reserve card for several years which included annual guest passes. Last year I cancelled the card with two guest passes in my Delta Voucher. A few months ago my wife & I were in LAX and went to the Sky Club. I showed my passes and was asked to see my Reserve card. I said I had cancelled it and was then informed that the guest passes were not valid. I was surprised since they were in my voucher account but was told I had to have an active card for them to be valid.
While in the entry area I applied and was approved for the Reserve Business card and my wife & I were granted access to the club using one of the older guest passes. We arrived in MSP within 24 hours then went to Sky Club and gained access to the club via the same pass and had dinner before heading home.
