Delta Air Lines issued a travel advisory and change waiver for passengers traveling through Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) following a suspected terror attack early New Year’s Day.
Delta New Orleans Travel Waiver
The travel waiver is effective today, January 1, through Friday, January 3, 2025.
Tickets must be rebooked by Tuesday, January 6. Rebooked travel must commence no later than Tuesday, January 6, as well.
Any applicable fare differences will be waived, provided you rebook in the same cabin of service (i.e., Main Cabin).
Here’s the waiver’s official page on Delta.com.
The waiver might help some people whose plans were altered because of the horrific attack. The Sugar Bowl game (which serves as an FBS Championship Quarterfinal game) was moved from Wednesday night to Thursday at 4:00 PM EST. (Moving a football game is, of course, nothing in comparison to those who were injured or lost their lives.)
Contact Delta Air Lines for Rebooking Help
If you have questions or need to rebook travel, contact Delta Air Lines directly (not “Delta Airlines”) or the provider through whom you originally purchased travel.
Delta Air Lines: 1-800-221-1212
You can also live message/chat with Delta.
Be safe, everyone!
