At least three airports in Florida will temporarily suspend operations in the coming hours due to incoming Hurricane Helene.
Tampa International Airport (TPA) announced it will close at 2:00 AM on Thursday morning (essentially, Wednesday night.) A firm reopening date and time hasn’t been announced yet.

Across the bay, St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) will temporarily close after its last flight arrives tonight. The airport hopes to reopen Friday.

To the south, Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport has no plans (yet) to suspend operations.
Tallahassee International Airport (TLH) in the Sunshine State’s capital city will be closed on Thursday, if not longer.
