Were the reports of Delta Air Lines no longer using CRJ-200s in its system greatly exaggerated?
But the morning flights from DTW to APN show (at least on the Delta app) that CRJ-200s will fly it for at least the next several days. It’s normally operated by CRJ-700s.
As René told me, the Delta CRJ-200s are like “Bob” in the movie What About Bob?
Perhaps this is temporary — or maybe a few, limited routes will once again be served by the aircraft dubbed “Satan’s Chariot.”
We contacted Delta for comment and will update this post as necessary.

What does this say about Delta and SkyWest that it can’t find an adequate replacement plane? Talk about an insult to passengers. There’s no spare 700, 900, or some other kind of plane at a major hub like Detroit? I hope they at least did a deep clean on a plane that has been sitting in a junk yard for months.
I’m not happy about it either. However it actually speaks very highly about their inventory management if every good plane is in service and the only spare ones are those that nobody wants to be in.

Thanks. The other weird thing is that I’m only getting your daily updates now, not the original posts when you send them. I’ve tried to resubscribe but it doesn’t make a difference.

I saw a CRJ-200 in SLC today operating Delta Connection flights. The deuce canoe is back!
“Deuce canoe”! That’s fantastic!
The CRJ-200 – a plane only Barbie and Ken could love!
