A few eagle-eyed Eye of the Flyer readers noticed something alarming for folks who fly Delta Air Lines partners but credit their trips to their SkyMiles accounts. (Those come in especially handy for earning Medallion status.)
When visiting Delta’s Earning With Airline Partners page, clicking (or tapping) on a given airline’s earnings chart produced this rather ominous pop-up:

Now, that might be especially concerning. After all, Delta announced massive changes to the 2025 SkyMiles program. But then — to their credit — ran some damage control and gave flyers a little reprieve.
However, Delta also reduced earnings on partner airlines.
That made the “Whoops!” message more than a tad concerning.
Don’t worry: a Delta spokesperson confirmed to me that the “gate change” pop-up is merely a glitch and Delta’s IT department is working to fix it.

Why are there so many IT Glitch problems with DL?? Last night I tried to book my daughter and 2 grandsons on flights. The seat views showed Main seats available, but you could only book first class($3000 for 2-1.2 hour flights) I called the DM line and got Singapore and a very poor connection. The guy said he had a blank screen and could not pull anything up. He needed all of my personal information to do so. I said normally when the call is picked up by Delta they use my name?? He said not sure why he cannot. But I asked about the seats showing open and not able to book.. HIs response was they are sold?? Usually they are at least X”ed out if sold. Could not help me???
Hi Chris and thank you for your always helpful
And generous news.
So are code share partners flights going to stay where they had been worth last year’s values?
OR, are there changes since the announcement going to become the norm?
Please,
Might you share a chart of the code share values ?
So grateful for your important info!
I am taking a JFK HNL run Sunday-Monday and am already upgraded on the return Sea-jfk
Cheers!

Creating a comment off an obvious IT error? Gees.
Given that Delta made a series of series rather quickly, many of us wouldn’t be surprised if they reversed course.
