I stayed in a very similar suite on the Star crossing the Atlantic for 21 days late in 2022. This suite, while compact, has one thing that makes booking it worth every penny and especially so if you can score it as a cheap upgrade as I did for this Alaska cruise.
The entrance to the suite is a bit tight but there are two shelves just inside the door that are convenient for both beach towels and a beach bag. Plus you do have access to the large closet from this side as well as the bathroom side (very convenient).
Unlike standard cabins you have extra of almost everything you can need for food service as well as a coffee / tea maker and a mini fridge.
For a suite this cabin is compact but they have squeezed in a full size table for four.
Do also note there is a cordless phone on the desk that you can take with you and will work just about anywhere on the ship and that can be nice if you need to call your butler or the concierge.
The bed is queen size and the sofa next to the bed can fold out to be a twin with a curtain that can be pulled for privacy.
Just outside the bathroom is a small area to get ready. A quick tip is to keep the bathroom door shut as soon as you exit as this area can get steamy quickly and we don’t want “hair emergencies” before dinner do we! 😉
You also have plenty of storage here with twin safes inside the upper cabinets as well as the above mentioned access to the other side of the closets.
I really love this bathroom and it seems like a refresh from similar suites on other ships. Most of the others I have been in have a tub with a LARGE step in and feel cramped. This is light, large and amazing.
But the real star of this cabin is clearly the large forward facing balcony. When the wind is not blowing direct in on you it is calm and stunning. In our case for Alaska it was cold in May but the views were well worth it.
