Do you have elite status with another airline — but want to jump ship and become a Delta Medallion? Now is a good opportunity.
Delta Status Match Challenges are currently open.
Here’s how many Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQD) it takes to complete your status match. (You can find a list of which airlines and status match to Delta here.)
For example, American Airlines Gold members match Delta Silver Medallion. You can knock out $1,250 pretty darn easily.
We work with a fantastic travel booking service called point.me. They’re masters at finding maximum earnings trips for low prices. Get in touch with them and they’ll help you get your status challenge completed.
Four Delta SkyMiles® American Express Credit Cards earn MQD based on your spending:
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card: Earn $1 MQD for every $10 in eligible spending.
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card: Earn $1 MQD for every $10 in eligible spending.
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card: Earn $1 MQD for every $10 in eligible spending.
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card: Earn $1 MQD for every $10 in eligible spending.
Each card also gives members a $2,500 MQD headstart toward Medallion status — but we heard that doesn’t count toward status matches.
And once you complete your status challenge, it’s good through January 2026.
