The week that was marked the last time the legendary Randy Petersen hosted the Freddie Awards live (René interviewed him a decade ago). Tomorrow marks the unofficial start to the summer travel season and by all accounts it is going to be interesting. We shall see. But first up a review of the week that was.
- Do you have CLEAR to try to get thorough security faster at the airport. Would you be shocked if those working at the airport advised you NOT to use it? That is what happened to Chris at MSP. Take a look.
- I have my favorite airport and I bet you do too. Chris has a sentimentally favorite one. See if you agree or have another suggestion.
- OK we admit it – we use AI on the blog – but not in the way you think. We explain some of the errors you may see from time to time on the blog.
- Would you consider the InterContinental at Minneapolis airport (MSP) a so called “bucket list” hotel to visit?
- Delta has been busy opening new Sky Clubs over the past few years but just what are the open times for these clubs and more?
- Lastly, there are some impressive LTO or “limited time offers” for points cards you really need to consider.
Have a great rest of the weekend everyone and I hope all your upgrades clear, your preflight beverage is served and your flights are smooth and on-time! – René

Clear for the past 2 weeks has been slow for me. The precheck line at SAN, BNA and JFK has been the faster choice. LGA is a toss-up.
Glad that I didn’t pay for Clear but I’d rather trade this Diamond “perk” for something worthwhile.
I’ve often walked past the CLEAR line and gone directly to the PreCheck line. The problem is the CLEAR line requires employees to move you along, and often times, they are understaffed. I feel like it if was completely “self-serve” it would move a lot faster. You could leave an employee or two to help first timers.
