Delta Air Lines passengers with Sky Club access will soon have more room at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Managing Director of Delta Sky Clubs Clyde Roussel told me on Tuesday morning that additional seating is being added to three areas of LAX Terminal 3’s Sky Club.
The first two (and most obvious) spaces where seating can be added are Sky Deck’s east and west ends.

Seats will eventually occupy the unused space you see above. This begs the question, why wasn’t there seating there in the first place? Based on conversations with several people, I don’t think this was a Delta problem. This should not be a surprise if you are familiar with Los Angeles city government.

Next, we’ll venture inside. The westernmost seating area (home to the buffet often featuring made-to-order tacos) now features a temporary wall. Some of that will open up and allow for more seating.

We don’t know exactly what types of seating will be installed (cafe chairs and tables, booths, etc.). The other side of those doors is approximately where we’ll find LAX’s Delta One lounge — probably sometime in 2024.
The new additions should be complete by late May or early June.
