If you haven’t yet used The Business Platinum Card® from American Express‘ Dell benefit for this half of 2023, the next few days could be a great opportunity to buy yourself something pretty.
Amex Business Platinum Dell Benefit
card_name (read more here) members may receive up to $400 in statement credits each year in for eligible purchases made through Dell. These credits are broken up in two across the year: the first $200 is available from January through June. The next two $200 worth is available July through December. (Activation/enrollment is required. Plus, the credits are if-used and do not roll over. Terms apply.)
Dell Amex Offer
A Dell Amex Offer for a 10% statement credit expires on Sunday, March 26. (Terms apply and enrollment is required.)
I needed a new Logitech Bluetooth headset for my Zoom calls and purchased it through Dell. I used my card_name to pay the tab.
Both the $200 Dell statement credit and Dell Amex Offer stacked.
Did you add the Dell Amex Offer to another Amex Business Card? (i.e., card_name, card_name, card_name, etc.?) Don’t worry! Dell allows you to split purchases across multiple payment methods.

Start Your Purchase Through Rakuten (or Another Cashback Portal)
Remember to initiate your shopping session through a portal such as Rakuten, TopCashback, etc. (CashbackMonitor is a good site that regularly updates which portals offer the best cashback promotions.)
I know the Amex Offer says you need to start your purchase through a specific link. I initiated mine through Rakuten — and the purchase tracked (though only for the subtotal — taxes and fees weren’t included).
I just checked our Rakuten link: it offers $30 in bonus cashback to new members who spend $30 through Rakuten within 90 days of signing up. That’s significantly better than Rakuten’s standard offer available through their website. So, that might add even more money to your piggy bank!
Happy saving and shopping!

So just to clarify-$200 for second half. First half $200 dell if not used yet is just gone-that’s not part of the stacking promo right?
Right. To paraphrase Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) from Dumb & Dumber: “Use it or lose it, sister!”
Do you know if these two offers would stack with Dell Employee Discount?
I don’t.
But if you’re offering to be a guinea pig…
yes it will. Amex doesn’t care what discount codes you used to buy things… all that matters is the merchant on record… in this case Dell.com NOT Dell Refurbished or Dell Outlet or anything else that’s excluded. And Rakuten also doesn’t care… you will get cashback (MR points) for the amount after employee discount before tax. I’ve been at this since I became Dell employee since 2021.
and of course this probably isnt how Dell intended it to work so… don’t go crazy buying this for resale or give out codes… with unique codes, I think they can track us.
I believe amex can claw back credit if you’re coming out ahead here..
They can. But I’ve stacked several Dell deals before, come out ahead, and never had them clawed back.
Thanks to your blog, not only did I snag the combined Dell offers via AmEx but used my 1.5X MR points on Business Platinum AND found a HUGE markdown on a new desktop monitor – early Christmas pricing of 60% off before all the yummy goodness (plus 10% off the net price via Rakuten)! SCORE!
Sweet! Did all the credits post yet?
Rakuten offer now 2%
Thanks for the heads-up, jm! I’ve amended the post.
WIsh Dell had more stuff that I need like Samsung televisions!!!
I know, same. But I always seem to need some electronic device(s) every six months and can fulfill it through Dell.
