Let me be probably the tenth or hundredth person to wish you a very Happy New Year! 🙂
Our home spent New Year’s Eve the same way we did last year — with multiple COVID-19 infections. My daughter tested negative, as did I. (I’m convinced the bourbon I’ve enjoyed during the holiday break is helping keep the COVID away.)
On the bright side, we look forward to several trips this year!
We have two high school graduations: our nephew in Boise, Idaho, graduates in May. Then our niece in Walnut Creek, California, graduates in early June.

We plan to take our annual vacation at my parents’ lake house near Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, sometime during the summer.
My Minnesota Vikings take on the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2023 NFL season. Depending on my work and our personal calendars, I’d love to hit Sin City to watch the Vikes beat the Raiders. 🙂
I plan to attend the Chicago Seminars in October. I don’t believe there’s a date yet.
It’s our turn to visit Fargo, North Dakota, for Christmas. We may or may not. We’ll make that decision sometime this summer. Frankly, the winter travel woes that hit this year might’ve been enough to scare us into staying home here in Los Angeles.
Aside from that, there might be the odd trip here and there for one of my clients. (I’m doing most of my work remotely for them now.)

I really want to visit Tokyo again and see the new Sky Club Haneda. If I can find a decent fare — preferably in at least Premium Select — I’ll probably pull the trigger. I don’t know how many more transoceanic coach flights I can handle.
Delta is slated to open at least a couple of new Sky Clubs: one in Kansas City and another in Minneapolis. So, you know I’ll have check those out, too!
My daughter keeps asking when we go back to New York City. I’m think we may do it sometime in early December so she can see the Christmas decorations.
Aside from that, some random trip ideas will pop into our heads and we’ll probably act on those. 🙂
