This morning finds me at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) for DL1202 — the first revenue flight of Delta’s new A321neo aircraft.
I traveled to the East Coast specifically for this trip. I experienced “new airport smell” a couple of weeks ago when I visited Delta’s beautiful new Sky Club at LAX. And I look forward to enjoying “new airplane smell” when I board the A321neo around 7:50 AM Eastern Time today. 🙂 .
I personally know of several fellow AvGeeks taking the trip today just to be part of Delta history. This should be a fun flight!
We’re scheduled to arrive in SFO shortly after 12:30 PM Pacific Time. I plan to visit the Sky Club for a while before flying out later this afternoon.
So, if you see me in Boston or San Francisco, please say hello!

Please tell us if they fixed the overhead bins on the A321. The current ones SUCK. You have to lie your bag flat (instead of on its side), taking up much more space. Whoever approved those bins was clueless about overhead space. So, please report back on the overhead bins. Safe trip.
Bins are great. My carryon is on its side as I type.
