This is welcome news for some The Business Platinum Card® from American Express members.
The card’s Pay With Points feature potentially became more lucrative.
Amex Business Platinum’s Pay With Points
American Express® Membership Rewards® cardholders can apply points to offset travel costs (at a rate of one point per penny) when purchasing travel through AmexTravel.com.
But when The Business Platinum Card® from American Express members apply points toward purchasing air travel on a designated carrier (enrollment required) or a premium cabin fare on an eligible airline, they may receive 35% of those points back. (In fact, that is the reason I originally became a cardmember several years ago.)

A maximum of 500,000 rebated points could be earned back per calendar year. But Amex just doubled that number to 1,000,0000 points back per calendar year!
I don’t know of many people who use that many points for Pay With Points purchases. But it’s great news for them.
