We found a pretty great Delta first class mileage run for our friends in the New York City area.
The trip travels Newark (EWR) –> Atlanta (ATL) –> Seattle (SEA) –> Anchorage (ANC) –> Seattle (SEA) –> Atlanta (ATL) –> Newark (EWR).
All but one flight is on 737-900ERs. (Your ATL to SEA hop is a 757.) But at least you’re in the more comfortable seats up front!
It currently prices out to $996.61. Delta says the run will earn 23,010 MQM and $1,571 MQD. These elevated earnings are thanks to Delta’s Status Accelerator — which is set to expire on December 31, 2021. (Get those Delta trips in now!)
Here’s the itinerary for October 28 and 29:
You have plenty of time to grab dinner in Anchorage before heading back to the airport for your 2:59 AM departure back to Seattle.
Each airport as a Delta Sky Club. (Anchorage’s currently closes at 12:30 AM, FYI). So hopefully you have a Sky Club membership or one of these cards that gives members complimentary admission when flying Delta:
- The Platinum Card® from American Express
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card

A 41 minute layover in ATL? That’s a show stopper for sure (for me anyhow).
@Bill G – They will (maybe) send a car transfer for you as first class ticket 😉
