A fun surprise showed up in my email inbox this afternoon.
Southwest held a weeks-long contest to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The festivities culminated in June on “Wanna Get Away Day,” when prizes ranging from points to Companion Passes were given away.
Well, it seems some of the prizes went unclaimed. So Southwest apparently conducted a “redraw” — and I’m now 100 Rapid Rewards points richer. (Hey, it’s better than nothing!)
If you participated in Southwest Airlines’ Wanna Get Away Day sweepstakes, check your email to see if you just won, too! (Good luck!) My email came from
“Southwest Airlines <sweepstakes (at) southwest50.com>” and the subject line read, “You’re a lucky re-draw winner!”
