Do you have elite status with another airline — but want to jump ship and become a Delta Medallion? Now is the perfect chance. Why?
It’s clear as day on this Delta page:
Bonuses will also apply to challenges such as Reclaim My Status and Status Match, so while challenge thresholds won’t change, you’ll have an accelerated path to completion.
Here’s what it takes to complete your status match. (You can find a list of which airlines and status match to Delta here.)
For example, American Airlines Gold members match Delta Silver Medallion. You can knock out 6,250 MQM and $750 pretty darn easily. Because of the Accelerators, that’s only 4166 Main Cabin MQM and $500 MQD. Take a roundtrip mileage run between New York and LA. Buy yourself a Comfort+ seat and you’ll get 75% bonuses instead of 50%. Done. (Check out our mileage runs section for some ideas.)
Heck, even Platinum isn’t that hard (assuming you qualify). That’s 12,500 Main Cabin MQM and $1500 in MQD.
We work with a fantastic travel booking service called Juicy Miles. They’re masters at finding maximum earnings for low prices. Get in touch with them and they’ll help you get your status challenge completed.
And once you have your status, it’s good through January 2023. So remember to load up on MQM until then. Take advantage of the limited-time offers on the Delta Reserve and Platinum Amex cards.
Now is an amazing time to complete a Delta Status Match Challenge. It’s never been easier or more affordable. (Delta flyers: get your friends to come join us on the dark side!)
