Atlanta will be home to an American Express Centurion Lounge!
As The Atlanta Journal-Constitution‘s Kelly Yamanouchi notes, Hartsfield-Jackson has only one non-airline branded lounge: The Club ATL in Concourse F (across the hall from the Sky Club with a deck). That’s accessible with a Priority Pass membership or forking over $45 per visit.
No word yet when or where exactly the lounge will open.
However, we also don’t know the club’s size. I’m guessing a lot of travelers who fly through ATL hold one of the four publicly available American Express cards giving members complimentary access to Delta Sky Clubs and Centurion Lounges:
- The Platinum Card® from American Express
- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card
- Only when flying a same-day Delta Air Lines flight on a ticket purchased with your Reserve card
- Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card
- Only when flying a same-day Delta Air Lines flight on a ticket purchased with your Reserve card
I sense potential overcrowding issues — even with Amex slashing its guest policy in early 2023. Conversely, people flocking to the ATL Centurion Lounge will likely bring some relief to the Delta Sky Clubs.
Still, I doubt Delta is happy about the news. This takes some guest$ (dollar sign intentional) away from the Sky Clubs. Same for United and American, who also have branded clubs at ATL.
Final Approach
Atlanta will get an American Express Centurion Lounge! While we don’t yet know its opening date or where the club will be located — or even its size — this is fun news for travelers who use ATL. Given the sheer number of Delta flyers who also hold premium Amex cards with lounge access, overcrowding could likely be an issue. But who knows? Maybe this Centurion Lounge will be bigger than we can imagine.

It had to happen. the busiest airport in the world had to eventually have a Centurion lounge and with 7 terminals they might need more than 1.
I’d be OK with that!
This is great news. ATL is my home airport, and I somehow just realized that my Delta Reserve Amex works for access to the Centurion lounge, so I got to try it out for the first time in Vegas. It’s a nice upgrade/change of pace to the DL lounges.
A little Amex leverage when credit card renewal talks with Delta begin. “Of course we love you, and you’re a very steady airline, but you can’t raise US-EU from 57.5 to 300k with no notice. Our cardmembers hate it and we paid a lot for those points.”
This thing better be huge. Like the size of the B17 lounge or even bigger or it will be packed non-stop. Or perhaps, if it’s in the F terminal it might not be as popular since F is not walkable.
