Kroger is running a promotion right now for Delta gift cards:

Buy a $250 Delta e-gift card and receive a $25 Kroger e-gift card.

So if you grocery shop at any Kroger group store, you essentially save $25 on your Delta gift card purchase. We shop at Ralphs here in Southern California — so this is an easy way for us to save a few bucks on future Delta travel.

Plus, the deal also earns you 4X Fuel Points.

Keep in mind that Delta gift cards don’t expire and earn full MQD, MQM, MQS, and SkyMiles.

Here’s a link to the sale, which runs through June 22.

Should I Use a Card That Bonuses Grocery Store Spending?

These purchases are processed by Blackhawk Network — not Kroger. So you won’t receive any grocery store or supermarket category bonus points.

A card offering at least 1.5X is probably the best way to go. Or if you need to meet a card’s minimum spending requirement, this is also a great opportunity. (Or just use whatever card makes you happy.)

Happy shopping, traveling, and saving!

      Unfortunately not.

Per the deal’s terms: “At checkout, one (or more) gift card(s) may be applied to the balance owed first and if there is a remaining balance customer will be asked to provide a secondary payment option to pay the remainder. Cannot redeem for fuel or products at Kroger Family of Companies’ Fuel Centers or fuel kiosks.” (Bold mine.)
