Amsterdam’s historic Red Light District is being relocated outside of the city. And a new Vegas resort won’t allow gambling and smoking.
Like, is the travel police’s vice squad cracking down or what?!
(Kind of a depressing way for some folks to start the weekend, sorry. 😉 )
We’ll get to those stories and much more in a few minutes. But first, here’s a quick recap of this past week at Rene’s Points!
If you want to take advantage of huge welcome bonuses for the three Southwest Airlines credit cards, the current offer expires on Monday.
Delta SkyMiles partner redemptions increased. Again.
A new month means new credits for Amex Platinum and Gold Card members. That makes getting the Amex Gold card even more valuable — assuming you do it as early in the year as possible.
Chase and DoorDash offer discounts and benefits for DashPass — the food delivery service’s subscription program. But only a few cards receive the perks.
If you want to save money on food delivery this weekend — especially for the big game — don’t forget these cards come with food delivery credit.
And keep in mind that Uber Eats dropped a promotion giving targeted users the opportunity to save $7 on eligible orders costing at least $20. DoorDash, meanwhile, is offering $10 off certain alcohol delivery orders.
Those who were either Platinum or Diamond Medallion in 2020 now have the “free” medallion year upon us as a gift from Delta. And that means we can access the 2021 Choice Benefits.
American Express rewarded some of its loyal members — giving them a bunch of statement credit and points bonus promotions on several co-branded Delta, Hilton, and Marriott cards.
Here are words I never thought I’d write.
A pair of USB chargers are on sale right now at Amazon.
A model wearing a cropped top and blue jeans was allegedly accused of wearing a bikini — and told to put on more clothes before taking her flight. That got me wondering: is it time for airlines to finally put in place dress codes that spell out exactly what’s permissible?

Sound like Amsterdam is spot on about moving the red light district to its own purpose-built center Perhaps they can call it Sexyland and bill it as an amusement park with admission tickets and obtain corporate sponsors? They could kick off the grand opening with celebrity endorsements from the likes of Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner, John Weaver and Heidi Fleiss. One might later envision a Sexyland Hotel, branded novelty products and maybe a chain of retain stores ala Disney. Be prepared to see “I’m Going to Sexyland” commercials from your favorite Super Bowl stars.
I love your selective damnation. You only mention liberals in your post. What? No Jimmy Swaggart? Mark Grethel? Donald Trump? … or the scores of other people on the right who have been caught in sexual adventures.
I didn’t mention anyone in the post…
