The Los Angeles Fire Department is on scene at Los Angeles International Airport after two passenger buses were engulfed in flames Saturday night at the LAXit rideshare lot.
The buses were reportedly unoccupied. No injuries have been reported. The Los Angeles Times says the fire broke out around 9:00 PM and “snarled traffic.” Twitter user @JacksonTell wrote he was stuck in traffic for two hours due to the fire.
The LAFD said in a statement that the first arriving 25 firefighters put out the blaze in just under 20 minutes.
A report I saw on a local Los Angeles news station said LAXit waits were delayed by about an hour.
“The fire’s cause remains under investigation, there is NO reason to consider it suspicious at this time,” the LAFD said.
