My wife and I were traveling just the two of us so we really did not need a two bedroom cabin, but it was the best priced option in the Haven.

One very nice thing about cabin 16011, and those nearby, is that you are very close to the main Haven area as well as the concierge desk. Others who were in Spa suites or in Haven rear ship suites did gripe about not being centrally located.

Once past the narrow entrance hall the suite opens up to a decent sized living room. Immediately to your right is the entrance to the guest room (more on that soon).

A few things about the room. First off the table is rather small for anymore than 2 people. We had some guests over for a caviar service before dinner and while it worked, it was cramped. Next we have the sofa bed. While it make work in a pinch for more in your group for sleeping, it was the single most uncomfortable sitting sofa I have ever been on.

The decor is also dated. The Epic could use a refresh at some point. But the room was clean and after all, we spent most of our time up on POSH so the room was mostly for sleeping and getting ready.

In addition to the mini bar (items inside not included btw) service items are provided for in-room dining and at no extra charge in the suites. Coffee and tea (upgraded vs. main dining room) machine is small but functional. The best part in the photo above is the cordless phone you can take anywhere on the ship should you want to call your butler and have them bring you something.

The balcony in this suite is nice sized for sitting but not large enough for lounge chairs. Great for an evening drink or port gazing or just enjoying watching the Atlantic drift by.

The bed itself was comfortable but the space is cramped. The mirrored walls attempt to make it feel bigger but if you are the kind that swings your leg out to get up get ready to hit the wall (you only will do that once fyi).

Storage is plentiful and if you are the only one using the suite don’t forget about the guest room for even more closet and storage space.

The makeup sitting area is away from the shower and well illuminated. My wife liked this much better than the more cramped areas in many NCL suites.

The bathroom, in many ways, is the star of this Haven suite. Not only is it large but has double sinks.

The lav is separate and enclosed. My only pet peeve with this is an auto on light that stays on for a period of time after you open the door. At night, this light can be an irritation (there is a curtain to separate the bedroom area but that makes the room feel very small).

There is also a very large soaker tub. It is fantastic but has one problem – it is facing the wrong way. Had the drain been the other direction you could sit and gaze out the huge one-way glass window rather than into the bathroom view.

The shower is just flat out amazing. It is huge with tons of jets. But the clear star is the floor to ceiling one way window. That view is just crazy. I know a few passengers who went to take extra showers just for this view (and I get them). Just wow!

The second bedroom is very tiny but if just for sleeping it is fine.

The bathroom is decent size and my wife and I, due to the bathroom light issue in the main bathroom, used this guest bath overnight when required.

Overall this is a very nice 2 bedroom Haven suite. Space is pleasant and the balcony decent sized. The master bath is a joy and makes me want to book this cabin again.

Lastly let me touch on the joy of having a butler (I hope you get a great one like we did with Maria). They bring you treats each afternoon. Everyone gets the same thing but if you do not want these, or want something else, just ask – they are happy to do whatever you want.

Nice review. We’ve sailed on the MSC Yacht Club which is basically like this concept of the Haven. Room looks nice. I’ve heard that NCL will allow non-Haven people into the Haven area for cash or for part of the day or something. Maybe that’s wrong but that would be a big deal for me when paying extra.

@DaninMCI – That pay for POSH access ended AFAIK. On ships like Breakaway there is a separate pay to visit sundeck. Will cover that when I review that ship.

what does it matter where the drain is in the tub? Would you not sit in the direction of the good view regardless of where the drain is?

@CB – Hits you in middle of back if you face looking out. Painful.
