First up we have this month’s monthly Delta SkyMiles “Flash Sale” that you must jump on and book before the end of the day tomorrow 16MAY18. Delta is discounting the HIDDEN award charts you can find HERE on the blog (supported by users) and it is a 20% off coach sale over the standard LEVEL 1 award level. This is a limited route sale, but it could be a good entry point to Europe and save you some Delta points.
A reader sent me this photo where Delta is testing in Atlanta yet another possible expansion to the EPQS system, that is, the “Enhanced Pillar Queuing System“. Keep in mind there are already 7 Delta boarding groups and this would make it 8. Oh, and it would drive “Zone 1” into group 6 boarding. What do you think of this possible boarding zone expansion?
The last one today is just funny (HT to FlyerTalk). We all should know the Delta.dumb award booking site is hopelessly broken. From married segment logic to phantom partner space to additive prices (that should not be) – it is a train wreck and booking anything can be a real challenge (and the reason so many turn to Adam for help and huge savings). Anyway, the deal above is “amazing” right? Zero SkyMiles for the award. But the fees, well, not so much.
Happy Delta flying everyone! – René

I feel so special that my photo of the EPQS got used on your blog Rene! The GA said it was a test gate, and fortunately/unfortunately I had been upgraded so I missed seeing how the GA was using the C+ pillar differently than Sky Priority. My speculation is that with all the credit card folks getting SKY boarding people were complaining about paying for a C+ seat (sidegrade) and not getting priority boarding.
