There is not much to be impressed with so far with Delta and the LAX move as you will see when I get to the T3 review.

a sign on a wall

a plant in a glass container

But one shining bright spot is the Terminal 2 Sky Club that I am told was once the Air Canada lounge. You can get in with a number of AMEX cards or, if you are a Skyteam elite plus status and are on a coach or anyone on a business class international departing (or connecting) ticket, you can also get in free.

people standing in front of a desk

Check-in was smooth with an agent using the hand held scanner so that many can gain quick entrance into the lounge. There is only one customer service counter and considering how much can and does go wrong at LAX this could stand to be improved. Maybe a second desk somewhere (there is room in this club for that).

a room with chairs and tables

The club is basically one long box. Right of entrance is the bulk of the space while left is a smaller area. Each “section” has it’s own refreshments but food choices only to the right.

a room with chairs and tables

a long table with chairs in a room

The smaller area left has a nice, now signature, conference table. Power is everywhere at each seat.

a printer on a counter

At this end of the club you will find the network connected printer / copier. Just email it whatever you want and you can print it out. On to drinks.

a kitchen with a counter top

There is no “luxury bar” or bartender at this club, for now, as there was in the LAX club. The upside is there is no upcharge for anything and Delta can not try to convince you to part with your valuable SkyMiles buying drinks! 😉

bottles of alcohol on a counter

a bucket of wine bottles

There are your adult beverage choices.

a machine on a counter

a group of coffee machines

And your Coffee and Tea choices at this end of the club. Back to the central area now.

a shelf with a variety of products

Just right of entrance you have a number of magazines and newspapers that are complementary.

people in an office

I will give credit to Delta for much open space to access the food area. In the old club it was a bit cramped and you tended to have to navigate around those at the bar. Now a bunch of shots of the food and snack choices

a buffet with different food in containers

a row of bowls of food

a tray of food with spoons

a counter with food items on it

a tray of food on a counter

a buffet line with food in bowls

This club features the expanded choices similar to the NYC JFK or some of the Atlanta clubs. Not a gourmet meal but enough if you are looking for a snack or a light lunch.

a rack with utensils on it

a coffee machine on a counter

At this end you have beer on tap and the same adult beverage choices as the other end of the club.

a counter with a shelf and shelves

Lastly coffee, tea and cookies as well as fruit choices.

people sitting in a waiting area

This is the view from the far end of the club with a small additional seating area that may be worth exploring if the club gets crowded. Also notice at this end are the showers. Delta tells me they will have 6 but none are working now as the plumbing is shot. Having 6 vs. the 4 in the old club will be a nice upgrade.

a room with chairs and tables

At this far end of the club are also 3 little cubicles for individual laptop work. Want semi-privacy, then go here.

a screenshot of a device

Another just shockingly impressive part of this club is the wifi speed. Both upload and download speed were truly spectacular!

an airport with airplanes

a group of people sitting at an airport

I opened saying this club is a shining light in LAX and if you are into jets you will love this club. First off, it is bright and light. It “feels” open, clean and fresh and the views of the runway are amazing. I could stare at jets all day long taking off and landing.

a blue sky with clouds and buildings

While this club is not what I would consider a “destination” lounge (like the DFW Centurion club) it is a refreshing oasis away from the often crowded gate area just below it! – René

Went through LAX T2 Sky Club 2 weeks ago. The lounge staff was great to work with, and the food is decent as well (in fact most Sky Club is better this last couple years). T2 certainly is nicer than the T3 side.
