THIS is what I have been asking Delta for – I just wish they were not shutting off the tap early in April. But, anytime we can fly in business class on Delta for just over 50k each way I am not one to complain about roughly 20% off LEVEL 1 pricing. Here are the details of the offer on Delta.com:
- Round-trip Award Tickets starting at 49,000 miles plus taxes and fees on select flights from the U.S. 48 to Europe.
- Starting at 49,000 miles round-trip plus taxes and fees. Additional fees/restrictions/baggage charges may apply.
- Purchase By August 25, 2016
- Travel Period September 23, 2016 through April 6, 2017
- Advance Purchase 28 Days
- Minimum Stay 7 Days
- Maximum Stay 3 Months
Once again you can compare the old award chart that Delta still does in fact use to compare the value. Do not expect to be able to add legs on to this at this lower price as due to Delta’s SNAPP it will likely add an additional one-way fare for this added leg (that should not cost more if LEVEL 1 award). This, unfortunately, is the two edged sword of Delta “sale” priced awards. Be sure to click the Delta.com link for ALL the details.
But who am I to pour cold water on a very nice award sale that is good for varying dates this fall, winter and most of the spring of 2017! Need even more help, please do not hesitate to reach out to ADAM for more help if you need it! – René

Thanks! Of course I didn’t hear this from Delta. Thank goodness you’re around to let me know what Delta’s up to.
One-way Award fares starting at 5,000 miles plus taxes and fees on select flights within the U.S. 48 and Alaska.
Just bought 4 tickets to Paris in November. 49k. Can’t beat it.
