After a really nice visit to the Sky Club near gate 21 we wanted to check out the other Delta club here in NRT even though our jet was closer to the current club. After a short walk past security we found our way to the right place.

If you look right across from Gate 15 you will see an elevator to take you one level up from the gates to the Sky Club.

The “look” of both of the two clubs in NRT is very similar from decor to seating and even in semi circle shape. But this is clearly a MUCH smaller club than the other one and I would guess at certain times it may become crowded (maybe others can comment below).

Looking right of the entrance you have a semi private area as well as a long back counter for laptop work away from the windows.

Then you have a large central seating area and window seating and additional work counter. The view, however, is mostly of gates.

But you can catch the end of the runway and see jets inbound when the wind is right.

Next we have some computers for use (when they are not broken with a note stuck on the screen that is).

Now at the far left, from entrance, you have another seating area that does have a better view of the runway and also a semi private room area to enjoy.

Also on this side of the club are bathrooms, phones as well as showers. I am sorry I did not, in this club or the other one, ask for access as readers have commented the “tech” would have been fun to play with. Next visit I promise to try them.

Right behind check-in is the food service area that does feel much more cramped compared to the other club with the same choices offered for breakfast.

Drinks are also the same self service as well as the very fun beer machines (check out the other club review for a video of these neat little machines).

But what I was really waiting for was the switch over to the lunch menu to try the spring rolls and other goodies.

Delta Sky Club NRT Narita Airport near Gate 15 RenesPoints blog Review (20)

What was brought out was rolls with prawns and I have to say they were excellent. What was not as outstanding were the BBQ chicken skewers as they were only semi-warm and rather poor quality chicken to be frank.

Well OK one more taste – Num!

So I went back for seconds of the spring rolls but tried not to stuff myself as I was looking forward to the meal on the flight back home as well.

Overall I enjoyed this club. If your flight is departing from this “side” and gates it is well worth the visit. If you have a longer layover, stick with the club near gate 21! – René

The showers and bathroom facilities in this lounge are pretty basic, though perfectly acceptable. Any shower anywhere after a long flight is a good thing. I found there is more “tech” stuff in the bathrooms in the terminal. Seriously considering a certain Toto add-on for the home after my last trip.

There are periods of an hour or so when this lounge can be busy, but then things slow down again. The food service is very good; dishes are constantly cleared away and food replenished. The lounge near Gate 21, while larger, can sometimes feel more crowded than this one, though it too seems to cycle between slow and busy times.

Hard to go wrong with either lounge, overall.

Congrats on your 1M status! I also reached it on a flight to NRT last year.

I’ve been in those clubs dozens of times (I lived in Tokyo for 3+ years). They’re not perfect, but they’re pretty nice. It does get crowded especially just before all the US bound flights leave and again later in the evening before the Asia connections leave.

No material changes since the NW days. I only wish Delta would invest in these clubs they way they have with other lounges. The clubs and the passengers connecting in Delta’s Asian hub deserve that.

Hi Rene and co gratations on being a MM it’s fun and I’m happy I got there too! Re the reference to the terminal ‘TOTO’ bathrooms I have photos of them and was totally maxed by the options . I know Japan has certain protocols of correctness related to bathrooms and it’s quite obvious and a delight in the terminal bathrooms as far as the women’s. Facilities are concerned
I loved the delta chop sticks and very clean and careful setting up of food in the NRT lounge. See you In October in Chicago and save me some BBQ please

I fly through here 4-5 times a year. I wonder if Delta has the volume to support both clubs with all the cutbacks in NRT. 21 is my favorite club as there are two separate buffet sections, which eases any overcrowding. I think 21 is in slightly better condition, too.

Possible data point here: I’m sitting in this lounge right row and it went from a few folks here and there to crowded right about 3:45 p.m.
