Well folks if you are just sitting around this Sunday, I would really suggest you look at the posts below that have to do with Delta schedule changes as they have hit again.
Now for me it was great. I had a massive 2 hour change and was able to change award tickets booked at Level 1/2 to flights that would have cost me many more $kyRubles to book but now I can change free of charge to the perfect flights to go to the PGA on SPG points later this summer. Thank you Delta (or Delta partners that is).
Next what you see above is the view from the “new” (same spot as the old) Delta Sky Club in DFW. I have in the past reviewed the satellite Delta Sky Club that has been used by many airlines while they do work on the main terminal. It seems that work is now done.
Thanks so much to RenésPoints.com reader Rick Christman for snapping a few quick shots of the club. He also told me:
“[It is] much roomier than the old location. You can now look onto the ramp and taxi way from the Club. Most tables have power outlets, but surprisingly not all of them. Food choices have not changed, but the area is larger. The bar area about the same as are the drinks. No surprises here. The gates and Skyclub at Terminal E Satellite are not used by DL. The check-in area is new as Terminal E gates E1 – E17 have been remodeled. Much nicer, open area and brighter. For the next month there is quite a walk from the check-in area to the Club but only until the end of May when the Security near Delta check-in reopens.” – Rick Christman
Thanks again Rick for the update and the photos. I look forward to visiting the club, as well as the DFW Centurion again, later this summer as well as another visit to Hard Eight BBQ!
Hope you are having a great spring / summer weekend everyone and thanks ever so much for reading the blog, and when you need a travel card, using our AMEX <-links or any other card like Chase, Citi and more the BANK card <-links as well. – René

I actually had an email message from Delta this am notifying me of a change. Of course they had cancelled the original flight entirely, and scheduled me on an earlier one – but at least I was ‘personnally’ notified.
@Carol – You know you don’t have to accept what they rebooked you on if you don’t like it. 🙂
Hi Rene,
I am a GM and recently had a schedule change of more than one hour. I booked on miles. If I do not want the new flight or any other option, can I cancel the flight without a redeposit fee? I am wondering if the schedule change applies to cancellation waivers or if Delta only allows you to change flights.
Thanks!
@Mike – Yep see linked posts.
I love Hard 8, but if you just want a quick in and out BBQ, try one of the many SpringCreek restaurants in the DFW area. There is one about 2-3 miles from DFW if you are in a hurry and want some pretty good BBQ.
@Ward – Thanks! Love new BBQ ideas and spots.
