Notice the PDF’s of the OLD award chart from last month and the new award chart Delta has, before the new year, jumped the redemption for Sky Club award by 25%. As is almost always the case, no notice to us loyal flyers nor did they wait until 2016 to make the latest devaluation. Thanks Delta, Keep Descending worthy change.
I mean we all should know if we have issues they are not going to get addressed or fixed until after the 1st of the year as you can see from an automated email I got from SkyBonus. Disgusting.
I am going to spend my final 30k for HOOU coupons and if they send me a stack of expired 2015 coupons you had better believe I will be blogging about it. Heck, I may even fly down to Virginia avenue and give them back to them personally if that is the case! – René

Slightly off-topic, but I just don’t understand Delta’s Marketing strategy. I just got a letter from Senior VP (Marketing) Tim Mapes containing what looked like my new individual Sky Club membership card, which I presumed was for my 2016 Diamond award. Until I noticed that it was for an Executive membership. SCORE!! But wait… it’s valid 02/01/16-02/04/16. FOUR DAYS?? I don’t expect a free membership upgrade (and I’d never choose one as my Diamond choice), but it left me feeling even slightly more disappointed with Delta. What was that marketing money supposed to accomplish?
I just cashed out most of mine for SkyClub day passes. Day passes I can share with friends I’m not flying with. And drink coupons, got 10 of those, never go wrong with ’em. Yeah Delta has gotten seriously arrogant, most every change now is without any notification.
An unannounced “pricing”/award chart change, less than 30 days before a deadline where many people have points expiring… That is SO lame, and disappointing. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised though. Need to figure out how to blow 250,000 of these things in the next couple days…
