atl to dfw 1st class nov run

atl to dfw coach nov

Not seeing a bunch of dates for this one but it could be ITA is not playing nice so there may be other open dates for this puppy if you keep searching. I like that we are getting sub 8CPM for 1st class and out of ATL. That is not bad at all.

EDIT: PS – Under current SDC rules you can change in 1st to ANY open seat so there is the chance to look at better flights 24hrs before the 1st class run.

Yes you do need to overnight in DFW but there are a bunch of cheap hotels in the area.

I personally would look at the coach run for about 6CPM as your upgrade chances should be decent mid week plus you can work it to spend more time at the Centurion Lounge time and or go to BBQ in the Dallas area should you want to.

Here are the 1st class numbers:

Cost: $594 in 1st class

7,732 MQMs at 7.6CPM

Bookable on Delta.com via Kayak.com SLC x2

1st class run link is HERE

coach run link is HERE

EDIT: Here are a few DEC coach run links HERE and  HERE and weekend-ish >  HERE

I have included the KAYAK.com links and for those of you new to this, 1st log in to your Delta.com SkyMiles account and THEN click the above links and it will, after you choose flights, send them over to Delta.com. Very simple! – René

I tried to book it as fast as I could… Delta won’t book either class… this is the message for coach:

The fare quoted earlier of $321.20 (USD) has changed. The new fare for this itinerary is $874.20 (USD). To continue your purchase click Continue. Otherwise click Start Over to return to the Reservation input screen and select different dates and times. After accepting the fare change, you may need to re-select your seats. #3005R

@Allen – Must have sold out. There were seats first thing this AM. You can try to call and have them match or book on Orbitz or another site possibly.

Well, anyway, we really appreciate you keeping an eye out for those oh-so-rare ATL opportunities!
On the one hand, it’s lovely that we never have to change planes and can fly almost anywhere almost anytime. On the other, we generally pay through the nose to do so, and they make us jump through insane hoops to take advantage of any sale price. So, all help is appreciated! Thanks, Rene.

      @mbh – Txs much. Trade ya 2hr CRJ200’s to connect in ATL? 🙁 #GrassIsGreener

I know, I know. I wouldn’t trade. (Besides, I’d never survive your winter. I’m such a weather wimp, that even my little MR is to Puerto Rico, when there were other options to colder climes.)

Last year, in a trip to Western Canada, I had to change planes TWICE. No one was sympathetic, but they just didn’t understand the unwritten rule: Like those from NY and LA, “people from ATL don’t change planes–ever!” As I suspect you may be learning as well, one of the problems with switching over to American is more plane changes. But, it will be worth it to feel less beholden to DL, which clearly cares nothing for its loyal customers (especially we hub captives). But, I’m learning to get comfortable with the Charlotte and Philadelphia airports, so I should be fine. ; )

Crazy… the good fares are still showing on Kayak. And still don’t work on Delta. How would I buy that on Orbitz given SLC is not a normal layover? Pricing as multi-city gives a ridiculous fare $1000+.
