On my way to my mega review page of all the current 10 Sky Clubs in Atlanta I had a chance to start that trip from Chicago so why not take a look at the club at O’Hare.

You can gain entrance with either of the two personal or business cards for yourself. There are not an abundance of Delta gates in Chicago so the club will somewhat sneak up on you if you are not paying attention.

There are usually two reps working the front desk, but if you have an issue I would ask if there are reps working the next desk you will see soon so you are not blocking the check-in area.

Or, if they are busy and there is no one else, there is a tiny room just past check-in to wait should you need it.

Next you arrive at a spacious help desk area with extra seating space to the left. I have at most seen one rep at this desk but maybe your experience has been different than my few visits to this club. You also have a wall of magazine should you wish to take one as well as a flight status board.

Next up is the central area of the club were most folks tend to gather. There is a small snack station with coffee and non-alcoholic drinks. There are power outlets to be had around the outside seating of this space but you will have to look around a bit.

Adjacent to the central area is a small business room with network printer, shredder and a Delta self service kiosk (always handy to have in clubs). The bathrooms are next door to this space.

Finally at the far end of the club with some seating as well is a semi-divided area for laptop work. I must say the view is nice if you are an AVgeek.

Also in this area are your snack choices. I was there in the morning so you can see the somewhat sparse choices to enjoy. But do keep in mind there are more out in the central seating area.

Lastly we have the self service area including alcoholic drinks. There is tea, water and juice as well as sodas (in cans) and two beer choices including Goose Island beer back on the other counter.

The wine choices are not bad and a step up from what was offered before the latest round of improvements system wide to the clubs. I find the Malbec to be quite nice accually and enjoy it (just not in the morning, that is).

Some final thoughts. I like this club considering Chicago is not a big market for Delta and one they seem to gripe about during each quarterly investors report. It is a competitive market with both AA and UA there so what does Delta expect. Since this really is the only choice, we Delta flyers will have to be happy with the club as the two Priority Pass choices at O’Hare are only open to those who are flying internationally, plus they are in other terminals anyway. – René
