The other day I posted that Delta had at long last fixed the IT bug about not being able to see 1st class open seats when you are booked in coach (any of coach, including C+ seats). This was a great fix as it was a super irritating bug that went on for months without being fixed. Well now look at your reservations if you have anything booked in 1st class (a.k.a. business class think OFCMB).
Yep I am sure you, like my Twitter follower Ralf, sees everything in the 1st class cabin, either on a paid ticket or on an award booking, ALL are 100% fully booked so you can not change seats (happening on Delta.dumb and on the Fly Delta APP btw). Wow, someone call the stock traders Delta has SOLD OUT every single 1st class seat they fly. Then again….
Oh, when we go to buy a seat you can see 1st class, C+ and all the other seats on the jet. We have yet another Delta IT bug that is getting stranger and more and more frustrating.
I mean we all know Delta IT is not the strongest part of the airline. The award booking site is beyond hopelessly broken and frustrating. They do not tell you (most times) when there is an aircraft change and your selected seat is auto-changed (Award Wallet used to tell you until Delta blocked them from having access). You see my point.
I hope this latest IT bug does not last long but at least for now, if you want to change seats, do a dummy booking for your flight to see what open seats there are and then call Delta or use @DeltaAssist to move your seat. – Rene

I hate this….it just happened. I check on my seats for a first class flight from ATL to LAX in March several times a week. They keep changing aircraft on me and recently the time. Was able to call and get it changed with no fees on the time change. I also like to know how full these flights are….
Rene, do you really think IT is that dumb? I don’t. I think this is on purpose to push more people to buy seats whether they be in first or c+. From the looks of the full planes, Delta seems to be pushing just enough buttons to make more money without pushing too many people away. I admit that I will not fly unless I’m flying with my husband because he’s a platinum and I’m a dud. But, as long as he has enough miles for me not to have to buy a ticket, we’ll keep flying because we are captive hub delta folks.
Rene’, it’s all a part of HONESTY, INTEGRITY, RESPECT,… the Delta difference!
@Rick – LOL Y YES! 🙁
As of 3:00 PM eastern time it appears that Delta has fixed the problem for now! But it is showing that All of the Bulkhead are blocked or booked.
Safe Travels,
John
@John – Yep they fixed BUG one. For now 😉
