If you have not been to the “play store” or updated your Fly Delta App on your Android phone you will want to do so today!
The changes are very nice and the app has gone from slow and clunky to fast and responsive. You have all the most important data right at hand and it loads much quicker than the 2.whatever versions.
Plus, you have a nice side menu bar that includes something called “Today” that brings up your next city you are flying to. Not just that it will offer:
All the most important bits about your next flight and it looks exciting (I hate waiting a week to test this part). There is also on the sidebar tons of other info including Skyclub, airport and so much other info right at hand. Just well done!
I will also say I like having a quick tab for “My Wallet” to get quick access to my Skyclub card and such on the home screen. Much better.
I have to give Delta a TON of praise for this one. Android has always been second fiddle to “i-Products” with Delta but they seem to have done this update right and very well. Kudos Delta and thank you so much for a great 3.0 update! What do you think of the changes? – René

Using this tonight on my MASSIVE mileage run…and yes, it looks much better and love the swipe to next segment or previous segment. Also like the Arrival and Departure tabs!
Makes finding that next gate so much easier.
@John DELTA – Sweet. Just what I was hoping for!
As an iPhone user I might be jealous. Don’t know until I compare side by side*.
*quick post idea?
@Graydon – Join TexasYankee and me in a week and will let you tinker all ya want my friend! 😉
It is as slow as before, bit more info on stuff. But the best is the feed option so far, finally can read the push msg. Flying out tomorrow so we will see if it gets better.
Rene,
Another perk I just noticed with the app (since I am now within the 24-hour check-in window) is the fact that your status on the Upgrade list is on the flight page.
Love seeing that “You are #1 of # with # seats open”! And you don’t have to go diving for that info!
